My name is George, and I’m a Certified Professional Master Photographer and Educator. I proudly serve as the Owner, CEO, Artist, and Creative Director of George Joell 3 Photography.

With numerous awards under my belt—including 1st Place in Weddings, Wedding Albums, Bridal Portraits, and Men’s Portraits—I’ve dedicated my life to excellence in the craft of photography. Most recently, I was honored with the PPA Director's Award & National Award, the highest recognitions given by the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) & Community Network Association respectively. I’ve also received the Small Business Award from the Mayor of Fayetteville and the "Minority of the Year 2023" award from the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce.

From our studio in Fayetteville, North Carolina, I offer professional photography services across the region—including Raleigh, Fort Bragg, Hope Mills, Raeford, Spring Lake, Southern Pines, Pinehurst, Lumberton, Pembroke, and beyond to Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach, South Carolina. I’ve been privileged to capture weddings and special moments from the California coast to the beaches of the Carolinas.

As a Retired U.S. Army First Sergeant and Veteran, I know firsthand how precious memories can be. Whether you're celebrating an engagement, wedding, maternity, family milestone, modeling or fitness journey, prom, birthday, quinceañera, or military ball—these are the moments that deserve to be captured with care and intention. That’s where I come in. That’s what George Joell 3 Photography is all about.

Let me share something personal: I almost missed my own wedding. I was in advanced military training and initially denied leave. But through my mother’s persistence and the intervention of a two-star general, I made it—just one day before the big event. That day remains one of the most joyful moments of my life, and I’m grateful it was captured forever in photographs.

Thanks to my cousin’s generous gift—a professional wedding photographer—every detail was preserved. Those images became even more meaningful after the passing of my grandparents, mother, stepfather, and father-in-law. When memories fade, photographs are what we return to. That’s when I truly understood the value of what I do: preserving legacies.

As one of the few Certified Professional Photographers, Master Photographers, and Photographic Craftsmen in North Carolina, I’ve committed myself to going above and beyond for every client. I also teach and mentor fellow photographers locally and nationally, helping elevate both their artistry and professionalism. My mentorship programs have guided many photographers to new levels in their careers.

Just as I served our country, I continue to serve the photography community. I’ve held leadership roles with the Professional Photographers of North Carolina (PPNC) as Secretary, Treasurer, President, and Chairman of the Board. I am currently honored to serve as a Director on the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Board.
